Jason Van Beek is general counsel for the Office of the U.S. Senate Republican Whip. Prior to that, he was the general counsel and policy director for consumer protection, oversight, and investigations on the Republican majority staff of the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee for then Chairman of the Committee, Senator John Thune of South Dakota. Jason's portfolio included all oversight investigations conducted by the Committee, all nominations referred to the Committee, consumer data privacy, and related technology/telecom/internet policy matters.
